This block of training will include the latest updates to illegal methamphetamine manufacturing, as well as discussion about the drug, its abuse and social impact in South Carolina Communities today. The training will provide key recognition skills to social Services, Health and Educational Professionals tasked with making Home Visits as part of their daily job functions. Also included in the training will be an introduction to synthetic cannabinoids (“Spice”, “Synthetic Pot”) and substituted cathinones (Bath Salts). this portion of the training will focus on introducing attendees to what these substances are, hazards surrounding their use, and dispelling social untruths and stigmas about their safety and legality.
